CBD/Hemp is legal in all 50 states. However, there are two major caveats
worthy of mentioning:
First, Federal guideline are very clear. Hemp products cannot contain more than 0.3% of THC. Any THC levels higher than 0.3% is considered marijuana.
Secondly, some states were afforded the liberty to pass their own hemp laws, as long as, those laws receive approval from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) According to “The Agriculture Improvement Act” of 2018.
There are numerous states that have legalized recreational and medicinal marijuana. Which only causes more confusion about what is legal and what is not. Therefore, we highly recommend you check the state law where you currently reside to remain in compliance. Each state has their stance on the hemp plant.
On June 25, 2018 the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Epidiolex. It is the first and only FDA approved prescription CBD drug used to treat Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome or Dravet Syndrome.
Epidiolex contains cannabinoid (CBD), which comes from marijuana cannabis. Marijuana contains two main drugs: tetrahydrocannabinoid (THC) and cannabinoid (CBD). These drugs have different effects on the body. THC can make you feel high but CBD does not.
Epidiolex is considered to be an innovated treatment. It reduces seizures significantly.
