In short, hemp is a prime plant to grow organically because it does not require a great deal of supplementary nutrition and is reasonably pest- and disease-resistant. Farmers, sow the seed densely to produce tall, slender stems that contain a greater amount of fiber. The growing cycle for hemp is approximately 108 to 120 days.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) extraction is the most common method of distraction. It's becoming increasingly popular for extracting top quality cannabis oil high in CBD. (CO2) extraction is more environmentally friendly, considerably safer, cleaner, cheaper and less toxic than using fossil fuel-based extraction – and results in a consistent product that is safe to consume.
Fractional distillation of the oil or refinement requires the oil be heated to a high temperature under a reduced pressure created by a vacuum pump.
This causes the THC and related cannabinoid substances to vaporize. The vapors are condensed back into an oil on contact with a cooled surface. The desired fraction is collected by selecting the appropriate temperature and pressure for the distillation. Many of the impurities do not vaporize and are left behind in the flask used for heating the oil.
CBD isolation is a highly specialized and technical process. At this stage, the entire process is basically combined from start to finish. To recap, the process involves growing quality hemp flower biomass that has less than 0.3% THC.
Each and every stage of the process brings its own challenges and expertise in order to result in high quality, pure CBD oil ready to be added to consumer products or packaged as pure isolate.
