The U.S. government, through the Department of Health and Human Services, applied for and secured a patent for non-intoxicating and non-psychoactive Cannabinoids for treatment purposes. (which includes CBD). The patent was approved on October 7, 2003. Patent Number #06630507. The patent was titled “Cannabinoids as Antioxidants and Neuroprotectants”
When did the Patent for the US Government Cannabinoids expire?
The patent expired on April 21, 2019. Now it’s only natural that we’d like to know who was awarded this “patent for cannabinoids” after the US Government. Surely, there must’ve been many companies waiting to get their hands on it. And yes, One did.
